Basically saying you download either Wireguard or OpenVPN (from their official websites) and download a config from airvpn, then load that config into either WG or OpenVPN depending on what you got.

Get a .ca domain (assuming you’re Canadian), it’s the same price as a .com and the prices don’t change much since they’re controlled majorly by the govt.

People don’t like this answer, but buying invites. Theyre cheap, but don’t know where to get them anymore. Be careful for scams.

There’s an app on the playstore called “datmusic”. It’s $6 or so and rips music from Deezer @ 320kbps to full on lossless FLAC. No subscription is needed unless you want to download an entire playlist.

It feels and looks like Spotify to me, just without the subscription part.

And how ass the buffering can be at times too. I’ve switched to stremio for the family, and torrent movies I want to see offline.

Thank you for this, I’ll look into this a little more before buying something !

Oh, no. I’m not ignoring the other options, just wanted to make a clear example, as bad as it was haha. I just like small sizes since quality isn’t the highest priority of mine, just like how I love FLACs and cannot deal with 320mp3.

  • I love yts because of the small sizes. I don’t care about remuxes like the data hoarders in this community.

More information about this premiumize? First time hearing about it.

Check out orangewebsite, they are from Iceland and are pretty private. Ive been using them for around 4 years and have had no issues!

p.s. I only use their domain registration service and not the hosting, so I cannot comment on that.

Only Proton should be recommended for torrenting since it has port-forwarding. I don’t know why people love suggesting these even without port-forwarding.

A couple of my favourites :

  • Days Gone
  • Metro Exodus (I would recommend you play the 2 previous games before to understand the story. They are linear, so if you do not like that, simply watch a playthrough of both of them. BUT. I highly recommend you play and experience the atmosphere of the first 2 games, just my opinion)
  • Older Assassin’s creeds (BF, Unity, Creed, Brotherhood, etc)
  • Witcher 3
  • FFXV
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Need for Speed Unbound/Heat (which ever one is cheaper, I prefer unbound, but they are pretty similar.)

And, if you have a good computer that can emulate switch games, I would highly recommend BOTW and TOTK as you’ve mentioned in the post. The best open world games there are.

Bind your vpn to the torrent client. Do NOT trust the vpn’s Killswitch. They can, and will, leak.

I would rather just making a wireguard vpn and having control of my data, but privacy might not be his concern.

Yes, because their ads are served on the same server (googlevideo.com iirc) as the actual videos. Blocking that domain would block the videos too.

+1 for Deemix. ARLs are easy to find and the metadata is flawless for the 1-200 or so songs I have.

Use either NextDNS or adguard. They are DNS-level ad blockers, so a quick configuration of your DNS settings and ur good to go.

real-debrid and alldebrid are usually the most talked about services. I would recommend you test both for a month and continue your subscription with the one you enjoy more.

No. Since you aren’t seeding the files, or are in the swarm, you are fine without a VPN. This is especially popular in Germany where you get fines of upwards of 500€

Or this. Forgot about android TVs. Used to have an nVidia shield, are those still around?

If you go off of the streaming services (like 123movies or something), they upload the downloaded files to 2+ video hosting websites, then display the links. They also have a shit ton of ads, so I guess they do get profit by how long they seem to last.

Kodi is what your looking for. A debrid + kodi is basically netflix with shows from around the world, in high quality, on demand.

But, it is not available on TVs as a seperate app. Companies do not like piracy, so many applications that are related to it do not make the appstores. A cheap and easy way to get Kodi would be to simply buy a Intel NUC, or a similar mini-pc.

https://esc.sh/projects/devops-from-scratch/ is a good resource. Most questions you have (that are more specific) are easily searchable on the internet.

ways to safely connect to home servers over the internet while away A couple methods include :

  • Installing Wireguard on the host machine
  • Reverse-proxying with a VPS
  • Cloudflare zero-trust tunnel

when it may be better to spin up services on a VPS instead

Most services you probably won’t need a VPS to do, but off the top of my head a couple services which would be better hosted (not saying self-hosting them on your own hardware is bad) would be services which proxy a service. Example SearxNG, Invidious, Proxitok, etc. This is so that traffic can be shared among multiple users, and not linked back to your home IP.

Guess they changed it, that sucks. My account still works with Tutanota, hope they don’t deactivate it.

For trackers I focused on getting a 5 ratio and then after that idgaf and download whatever. Sure the prestige is nice, but once the tracker is gone you lose that prestige.

Files aren’t kept 24/7/365, but apart from that I cannot tell you as I don’t work there 🤷

Just use the VPN. Proxies are inherently unstable and unsafe for torrenting, with a lot of leaks, causing providers to DMCA you.

You can start off with myanonamouse, they have applications every Wednesday and Sunday iirc. Very easy to get in, simple questions too.
