How often do you “long haul”? I’d argue an EV (with all of the perks of never going to a gas station again) is a great primary car and an ICE might make a decent SECOND car if you need to drive longer distances and if the charging infrastructure in your area is lacking.

I suppose it’s probably mostly about which websites you are a part of and if they specialize in specific content.

I have 5-6 trackers which provides me basically everything I need and it sounds like Usenet might be similar in that regard.

Hosting the software is only part of the problem, and not the hardest one from my experience.

qBitTorrent is one of the standard clients.

FWIW common libraries like ffmpeg and what not can contain bugs which video files could potentially abuse and exploit.

Is that a common risk? Probably not. But image libraries have been known to have such exploits.

ABTorrents is one of the good ones. Private though.

One of the best things I did for my git usage was ditch a gui like SourceTree.

It’s far too easy for it to run an action that is actually running a series of commands under the hood and have git get stuck in the middle somewhere.

I still use gui tools (git extensions) for staging and reverting, but everything else is cli.
