This hits hard.

Not that I don’t like my job, just that I love my costly side-project more.

Not to mention that sometimes, the code that’s supposed to “speak for itself” doesn’t do the things that they think it would do.

Anything can be a square hole if you’re brave enough.

As long as you don’t ask for coffee.

How is this possible? Some random gal’s github shows up?

I’ll tell you what’s practical. If pirates start charging me for stuff, and go thru all the hassle making their stuff difficult to copy, I’d rather just buy the original thru official channels.

If they come up with some way to make it as hard as possible for the buyers to share these cracked games among them, they could make a lot of money with this.

This kind of thinking is the bane of humanity.

“.eml is a format for e-machine learning”

It would also be beneficial to the copyright enforcement, as they could just take it all down in one move.

It is similar in that there’s a pool of resource shared between all the clients, and the service provider can shift this resource around when in need.

Now, the fact anyone would be in a LinkedIn community (aside from work related) is beyond me…

Don’t worry, just need to get outside of their bubble.

Why not use a more stable distro for a server machine like this one?

Can you tell me how you got started with I2P? What exactly do you do with it?

I could bring the whole Person of Interest series and wouldn’t finish a season. That, or any TV series with reasonable length. I was thinking:

  • Dark
  • Breaking Bad
  • Fringe
  • Mr. Robot
  • Hannibal
  • Battlestar Galactica
  • The Expanse

Speaking of, I wonder what the mid-00s performance for decoding HEVC.

Also, what do I get from this, anyway?

Publishing New Torrents
Hi all! I'm working on re-encoding a bunch of TV shows from H264 to H265 as well as making the metadata more uniform (especially between seasons). As I've completed a couple of shows, I would like to possibly give back to the community by shareing it so that more people could benefit from it. What would be the best way for this? Since I download most of it from torrent, I am thinking of having it on torrent as well. How to make sure it gets the exposure it needs (i.e. seeding)?

online metadata collection for tv series
I'm just trying to clean up my library of TV series, making my content more uniform. After I was done with the major stuff (resolution, codec, subtitle), I am now into the details. One of the thing that bugs me is that some of them have chapter times while others don't. I could just remove chapter data from them all, but I want to see if having them is a viable option. Last time, I had to download the same stuff uploaded by different people in order to extract the metadata. This works, but requires me to download more stuff (they're not small...). I was wondering if there's like an online library for pirated movie/TV series metadata like we do for subtitles. Thanks in advance!

Any of you ever played with IPFS?
Seems quite promising! I heard it could use more maturing.
