You can download relatively good sounding audio from YouTube but you need to be using the right format in YouTube-DL, which not all downloaders do

Dang. This almost makes me want to switch away from PLEX. I love how this feels a bit like Apple TV’s interface, but isn’t just a plain carbon copy.

A social media platform where you can post or view images. I don’t wanna deal with CSAM.

I can see the post from here!

For me, it’s worth it for the doubled bitrate over the PLEX proxy. I’ll probably be moving out of my parents’ home next year into an apartment complex, and can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to set up port forwarding on the ntwork.

I’ve had a generally pleasant experience with the game. All the issues I came across–friends not being able to join matches, lag while on multiplayer–was because of cross-platform issues, one of us was on the MCC version while another was in the original release version, or my own poor internet connection.

Proton’s encrypted password manager is now available to everyone. - The Verge
After rolling out its password manager to a limited number of users in April, Proton has finally released the service to the general public. The tool, called Proton Pass, uses end-to-end encryption to keep your usernames and passwords away from third parties, including Proton itself. It also lets you create and store randomly generated email aliases that you can use in place of your real address.

Nothing’s Phone 2 brings back the ringtone composer. - The Verge
Nothing has teased a new “Glyph Composer” for its upcoming Phone 2 (and existing Phone 1) that lets you create custom ringtones and flashing light patterns based on synth-y sounds from Swedish House Mafia. As someone who once spent hours creating a custom ringtone for my Nokia 3310 based on the theme tune to Metal Gear Solid 2, I’m intrigued.

A Friday blog post details the Bluesky team's moderation proposals for “a shared public commons,” using things like lists, hashtags, and even “per-thread” tools that would give moderation power to each poster. The latter treats threads like a mini-forum: if you don’t like a reply, you can yeet that skeet (or just hide it). The post acknowledges why this might be problematic: Along with algorithms, hands-off moderation fits right into Jack Dorsey’s original concept for decentralized social media.

Open the Pod Bay Doors, Bezos: Amazon Shuts Down Man’s Entire Smart Home After Delivery Worker Claims Racism
Earlier this month, Amazon locked a man out of his account, disrupting his extensive smart home system. The suspension was driven by a delivery driver who claimed the man used a racial slur through his automated doorbell system. The only problem is that the man captured the entire interaction on his security system — the communication to the worker was an automated greeting of, "Excuse me, can I help you?"

I generally go to a website and if I like the content, I look for an RSS icon. If I can’t find one, I’ll browse to either [domain]/rss, [domain]/rss.xml, [domain]/feed or [domain]/feed.xml, because most websites that support RSS will have an XML file at that location. This has worked for every site I’ve tried it on so far, except for Genius’ website.
