the author of the article wrote an article a while ago about how they think steam is enshittifying and becoming bad because they got rid of mac support and some people didn’t like steam in the 2000s, so I think this person just takes controversial opinions randomly and writes about them.

I think one way is to use a domain host that is located in some country that doesn’t care at all.

I converted a pdf book scan to epub with tessaract ocr and calibre, it didn’t need any programming, but the end result did have a typo every few paragraphs. Most were very similar to each other though, so a few hours cleaning it up would’ve made it pretty readable.

sure illegal content can be accessed over a vpn without port forwarding, but when someone is hosting a child porn site over a mullvad ip, that is clearly a larger problem

although people hosting illegal content using port forwarding is likely one of the reasons they removed it, so its a tricky problem

yeah, but i would like to get in BLU or AB, and they just don’t take applications or registrations

yeah its red im talking about, they are kinda essential for getting higher up, but i just dont want to deal with it

and some other trackers completely ignore all of that and make it extremely hard to gain ratio. if they all had a bonus points system that would be great though

all im saying is that, if I own the CPU that runs the game, there are incredible advanced techniques for reverse engineering, and given enough time and effort i think it would always be possible.

encryption isnt exactly the same thing here, because encrypted data just sits there until its unencrypted, but it NEEDS to be unencrypted for your CPU to run it.

the CPU has to read code that it can execute, and if you can get that code, its probably impossible to have an uncrackable game. that doesnt apply to video game cracking, but I’m sure the NSA could crack denuvo if they wanted to, and could crack any game DRM.

at the very extreme, if i know the state of all of the transistors and etc inside my computer, nothing is uncrackable. thats all I’m trying to say. yes denuvo will likely get too complicated for anyone to try to crack it, but given enough time and resources, it would be cracked.

how so? ignoring mathematically unbreakable things like encryption, given enough time, i think pretty much anything could be reverse engineered and cracked, its just a matter of how much time it would take

ok.

i have my own opinions on ai, but all of that doesnt matter in relation to cracking denuvo because humans can and do crack it.

i bet everyone with the skills to reverse engineer it has a nice job in cybersecurity (like working at denuvo), instead of cracking video games for some donations.

personally I think that theres loads of people with the skillset to do it, but they all have nice jobs in cybersecurity instead of cracking video games.

online anonymity to governments is very very very hard if not impossible if they actually needed to find you

Private trackers are based on seeding back what you leech, and if you can’t port forward it is far far harder to do that, and so you may get banned of your ratio of downloaded to uploaded gets too low.

i watch ltt for alex messing around, and every now and then a video of linus wasting money on cool testing equipment for some reason. I’ve always assumed GN is superior for actual testing.

If you use cloudflare, there’s a docker container to update your sites DNS records to your current dynamic IP (also cloudflare is good ddos protection) https://github.com/oznu/docker-cloudflare-ddns
