I use old thinkcentre machines, they’re cheap and are powerful enough for decent servers. I have them loaded with 16gb of RAM and 2x265gb NVME each for mirroring. They work wonderfully.

I’m pretty sure beeper is against TOS if they’re using the Matrix bridge I think they’re using.

Doing this all on mobile was definitely a mistake. 😥

The reason is privacy, everybody has a reason to use it.

Well known software built using Matrix. A lot of people have been following this project.

How could anything be simpler than skyrims magic?

Syncthing will also work with Nextcloud.

They’ve now got a whole 3 devs!

+1 for PG. My favorite mmo by far.

How much swap?
I've heard a lot of people say your swap should be 2x RAM.. but do I really need 32GB of swap?

Gandi was recently purchased, and and is slowly going down the drain. I moved all my domains and emails to porkbun.

$20/mo?! When free alternatives exist, why would anybody do this?

I use Let’s Encrypt on my domains, but they’re domains that my afraid.org subdomains point to.

Haven’t heard of that, sounds like an odd situation. Not 100% sure I believe it without more context.

Save 75% on Project: Gorgon on Steam
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ca/post/1064472 > Hello, I'm in no way affiliated with Project Gorgon, but I've been playing this MMORPG since 2014. It's in a really good state right now and would love to see more players join the community.

Most of the time Linux fails on me it’s nvidia related. I hate nvidia.

The webapp on android has been the best for me.

Or better yet, Netflix in the background while they doomscroll tiktok every night.

I wouldn’t want to be stuck in a conversation with a coworker talking about golf or sports, so I can imagine that goes both ways where gushing about video games is probably going to annoy/bore some people.

I had a 6 pro and downgraded to the 6a. Same experience with a smaller screen and slightly worse camera for near 1000$ less.

I’d be happy to pay for video content/video hosting, but I’m not happy with any of my money going to youtube or google. Peertube is the future. 😎
