Umbrella term for individuals who are engrossed by social justice and thinks of themselves as saviors with a moral high ground, but remain willfully ignorant to the irrationality of their claims and the problems they create. These individuals give special treatment to certain minorities in hopes of ending racism and perpetuate mental illnesses as the norm.
My son's woke kindergarten teacher taught him that he's actually a girl because he played with dolls.

The vaccine, a mysterious injection that was forced on the population, created by big pharma who has a repuation for dishonesty for decades. Comparing this to seatbelts is a horrible comparision. Seatbelts BTW are straps you wear to ensure you do not go flying out the wind shield during a car crash. No mystery around that, no closed source injection being pumped into your bloodstream when wearing a seat belt.
And COVID mass deaths would of not happen if life was allowed to go on as normal. There were places like South Dakota that did nothing authoritative and I do know South Dakota still exists, life goes on.
Again, stop watching the news. Unplug from the matrix and then you will see the source code to all of this madness.

This is false. Canadians could not board planes. How can you leave the country if you were denied access to a plane ride? This did violate the Canadian charter of human rights.
Yeah the US also blocked access to the unvaxxed, the only neighbouring country to Canada. And denying access to air travel was not done to “stop the spread of COVID”. It was malice, and to make excuses for this with twisted logic is quite disturbing to say the least.
And the vaccine was a choice. Noone was forced to take it.
Many lost their jobs and in places like Canada could not leave the country for refusing to take the vaccine? It was not a choice, it was forced and those who wished to be left alone, lost basic freedoms.
Imagine you wanted to leave Canada to go to a better place, but you were denied since you needed to show a digital ID. Think about it.

They should of stayed home, not come to work. Instead of pushing masks, people need to stop calling in sick when they stub their toe and start calling in sick when they have the flu or a bad cough.
The pandemic was just a horrible time in history and we do not need to keep any of its rituals around in daily life. No one was considered inconsiderate for not wearing a mask in 2019, and no one should of ever been considered inconsiderate for not wearing a mask, especially now in 2023.
Or there is a minority of people who lack any meaning in their lives and when the pandemic came along, they made it their life mission to end the virus for good. Turned the pandemic into a religion of sorts.
My advice buddy is to let this all go and enjoy life. 2022 and 2023 have been great years for me and it can be for you as well. Get outside more if you do not get outside much, stop reading and watching the news and just live. Leave this “We must stop COVID” belief behind. Just like the flu, COVID is here to stay.
No it doesn’t. When others see people wearing a mask now, they think your either paranoid, virtue signalling, or have an health condition and therefore hava a higher threat model.
Don’t feel embarred wearing a mask. Do what you think is best for yourself, but I can tell you it does not make people “brave and to join the movement”.
The wildfires are started by people, not the climate. Some of the arsonists were caught and fined. Why did they start the fire if it was intentional is up for speculation. However some of these fires were accidential.
Trends? Depends how they are displayed? Lot of climate change groups show charts going back to 1970 or so. Rarely they show anything before then. Be careful when you see a statistic, chart or alarmist message being shared since it is always protrayed to make the situation appear to be out of control and in crisis.
Yes, Most if not all power grids in Canada cannot handle adding mass adoption of EV charging on top of the grid.
The only solution to this is nuclear power plants, more coal power plants or more natural gas power plants.
And EVs are not the answer. Manufacturing a EV is worse for the planet then manufacturing a regular car and driving it for years. If you wish to be green, just buy any used gas car and you will be making a difference or get a bike.
Gitea and Forgejo are the way to go. Especially Forgejo which is working on federation just like Lemmy but for Forgejo repos and instances.
