More than 260 houses of worship have signed onto the effort. “We don’t want to whitewash anything,” one organizer says. “We want to tell the truth.”

Just don’t be gay. It’s weird to think of churches as places of learning instead of centers fostering bigotry and hate, but I have to applaud them for stepping in on this issue at least.

Historically churches have been both; by being the main source of knowledge, is how they can control and shape people’s perception of “right and wrong”.
