Many are turning to Lemmy as a viable Reddit alternative. Here is how to use your existing Mastodon account with Lemmy.
I have both a Mastadon and Lemmy account (actually two) as well as a kbin account so I’m fine with having several. It’s interesting to see the interconnectivity of the two platforms. I’d love to see more of this.
In the mastodon search bar, enter the URL of the post/comment you want to reply to. It will show up in mastodon as a post once searched.
Note: if you’re replying to a comment or thread, you must include the community you’re posting in and the username you’re replying to into your reply or else Lemmy will not nest the threads correctly.
You are not logged in. However you can subscribe from another Fediverse account, for example Lemmy or Mastodon. To do this, paste the following into the search field of your instance: !technology@beehaw.org
