A staff member was fired over the menu addition, which the owner said was "ignorant" and "a mistake," a report said.

Wow Patch.com still exists?

Well, the apology was appropriate, and said all the right things. It appears the owner was not fully aware of the situation, and they took care of it in an appropriate way by firing the staff member, and issuing a public statement condemning, by name, Nazis.

Upon looking at some of their other burger names, they are just sorry they crossed a line and got shit for it.

While it’s nice that they immediately regretted their decision after learning the Proud Boys are a white supremacy extremist group, it’s also terrifying they had no idea the Proud Boys are a white supremacy extremist group. How do these people exist?

On the other hand, haven’t they done stuff like this before, with “Sleep Joe” and “Trump burgers”?

The amount of Trump and confederate flags in Beachwood and Tom’s River should make this no surprise. Howell’s confederate mascot should cement the conservative bent of Ocean county…

Looks like you’re right. I’m not a local, but I found this on another site where they mention the same ones you did.

I don’t have a problem of ignorance. That just means you don’t know something. Willful ignorance is a whole other game though. It sounds like they were just ignorant and willing to learn from their mistakes.
