Hi,
I have a playlist with around 5000 songs. What is the best way for me to migrate from Spotify so I can actually have them, unencrypted, on a physical device. I am tired of songs being taken out of my playlist due to licensing issues.
1. Posts must be related to the discussion of digital piracy
2. Don’t request invites, trade, sell, or self-promote
3. Don’t request or link to specific pirated titles, including DMs
4. Don’t submit low-quality posts, be entitled, or harass others

Sign up for a free trial of Deezer and user Deemix-Gui to download your Spotify playlist in flac format.
Afaik, free deezer accounts can only pull 128kbps mp3, no flacs.
Deezer Premium accounts can download flac, hence the free trial.
Oh that’s great to know!
You also used to be able to use disposable debit cards and email aliases to get unlimited free trials but I think most companies have put a stop to this now.
It says that deezer premium is not available in my country, should I use a VPN to bypass that?
You can try but you night be required to have a payment method from whichever country you’re signing up from.
that sucks, guess i have to do some extra work then.
This is exactly what I did a couple months ago. Free trialed deezer, exported the playlist in batches of 500 through songshift. Dled the whole thing.
Although I have to say around 2 to 3% of songs were not found on deezer.
I use website Spotify playlist downloaders, they’re not amazing but they’ll get the job done
Check out FMHY’s list of Spotify downloaders. That said the first step would be to make the playlist public.
After that you could just use something like Spotiflyer and download them. If you want high quality audio files though you might have to look around a bit
There’s a Deezer bot on telegram that takes Spotify playlist links. Just paste it in there and download the whole thing.
In flac?
Yes. They use the premium ARL of an account and through it they access deezers database and download as FLAC.
I don’t know of any streaming services that provide flac access for free. Deezer and Tidal have flacs, but require subscriptions. If you want flacs without any payments, from what I know at least, you’re gonna have to resort to torrents or Usenet.
Not entirely true, you can find Deezer premium arls for free on the internet. That’s also what these bots do
Give Zotify a try.
I used spotdl to download mine. Though it grabs your music from YouTube, not from Spotify itself (downloads MP3s from YouTube) https://github.com/spotDL/spotify-downloader
Yooo I was thinking of getting rid of Spotify, so ty for sharing this!
IMO this is the best option.
Maybe the easiest but not quality wise.
For sure. I prefer audio quality but this was easy to use.
I’m definitely going to have to do this
I used this too. Btw, YouTube does not serve mp3 files. It serves Opus files and (low quality) m4a files. If you select the mp3 output option with spotdl, it converts them to mp3 and you lose quality. To get the highest quality, you must chose the opus option.
Thanks for the info!
