Mullvad recently removed port forwarding from their service, which is sub-optimal for torrenting.

There is a free tier which limits you to 1 hour playtime sessions and does not let you use RTX effects.

You will almost certainly get better quality by ripping from the Blu-ray rather than downloading from Funimation.

That one does appear to be compatible with the Elite 2, but I don’t think either model supports motion control on PC, just PS4/5 and Nintendo Switch.

I had a Drobo 5N for over 10 years. It lasted longer than the company itself.

There’s nothing wrong with shucked drives, and they are frequently relabelled NAS drives anyway.

Unfortunately it says it does not support the Elite series 2.

If I hadn’t just recently bought a Minisforum B550 Pro I would probably jump on this.

Last I heard the standard cut for a Twitch sub is 50/50. I don’t know about any others.

Maxis, Bullfrog, Westwood, Origin… basically any studio that EA bought and destroyed.

It’s my understanding that Gabe’s son is being prepped to take over when the time comes. Hopefully he shares his father’s values.

Valve is possibly the closest thing to a non-evil company in the world today.

4k77, 4k80, and 4k83 are 4k (hence the name) versions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, respectively. 4k77 was mastered from an original 1977 35mm print of the movie. I’m not sure of the other’s sources, but they’re probably similar.

So what you’re asking is “y u no host Yunohost”?

Even post-face-eating, they will find a way to blame it on “tha libs” and will learn nothing.

Text editor or not, when you’re asked for log files provide THE LOG FILES. Don’t edit out lines you think are irrelevant. You don’t know what’s irrelevant or not. If you did, you could fix the problem yourself.

I’d recommend Sam and Max Hit the Road. It’s older, and its sense of humor is a bit out there, but if you “get it” it’s great.

I’m looking at Keychron for a keyboard. I recently replaced my Z-5500 surround speakers with a cheapo soundbar off Amazon. I’d like to get something comparable to the old Z-5500s (which were phenomenal) but I haven’t found anything similar yet. And Logitech doesn’t make anything in their league any more. Aside from those I haven’t really looked for anything else. If I were to find a brand that reliably offered good-quality products with the features I’m looking for I would happily buy a whole set from them, but I have no problem with mixing-and-matching brands either.

I was a die-hard Logitech fan for many years, but over the past five or so their quality has really gone downhill, with their prices remaining the same if not increasing. I have a full set of Logitech peripherals but when the time comes to replace them Logitech will not be in the running.

Ugh, if “Truth” Social goes under, all the deplorables will crawl back to Twitter. And Muskrat will roll out the red carpet for them.

I mean, I knew it from the moment the EA acquisition was announced.

The Youtube channel Alien Theory just posted a side-by-side analysis of the pan-and-scan VHS version of Alien vs. the widescreen versions. It’s pretty interesting, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSSXFYu2cCk

Did they really abbreviate “paragraph” to “graf”?

The thing I fucking hate is when the game doesn’t make it obvious when a checkpoint is activated. Then you go to quit the game: “Everything since the last checkpoint will be lost”. Well WHEN WAS THE LAST MOTHERFUCKING CHECKPOINT, ASSHOLE?

The Persona games, while all existing in the same universe and sharing many play mechanics are largely standalone. You can pick up and play any of them and not miss anything storywise by not playing the others. That said each subsequent game adds certain QoL features which, once gotten used to you’d be hard-pressed to play without. I’ve played 3, 4, and 5, in that order and I would recommend the same to anyone looking to get into the series.

The Yakuza series on the other hand all follow a set timeline, and though each game has its own plot they all exist in an evolving overall world. They should be played in order, at least 1-6. Zero is a prequel though it was made around the same time as 5. As such it has several references to future events which are not really spoilery, but without playing the other games you won’t necessarily get them. But they are not vital to the plot and the game can be enjoyed first. That’s what I did and never felt like I was missing out on anything. 7 is a new start for the series and while taking place in the same world and featuring guest stars from other games it is not closely tied to the other games in the series. Personally, 7 is my favorite of the bunch with Zero a close second.

My NAS that holds all my data is Farnsworth. My file server is Hermes. My Linux VM that does all the scut-work is Kif. My beefy gaming PC is Bender. My beefy gaming laptop is Flexo. And so on.

they’re being evicted from one of their offices.

That story is (unfortunately) not as bad as it sounds on the surface. Basically the office they’re being evicted from was leased just as COVID lockdowns were happening and WFH became a thing. So no one was actually working there and it was pretty much just sitting empty. It’s still not great, but Twitter isn’t really losing anything of value.
