At the least we need more walk-in clinics/urgent care with Nurse Practitioners, actually open and staffed. If you want to go really crazy make sure they have doctors, and if you are truely insane enough to fund a functioning healthcare system, make sure people have access to a family doctor to start with.
I have an XBox One S (and a PC) - really hits home when in Game Stop with my kids and they were looking around (mainly for figures and such), and i’m like “there’s nothing for me here”. Of course I haven’t bought a physical PC title in over 10 years now that I think of it. I feel for the shop owners, they haven nothing for me to buy and I used to like going to shop around. Come to think of it I used to go to book stores quite often too, but not since i got my first kindle.
I did recently re-buy an Xbox 360 and it is kind of nice to browse second hand shops and such and just pickup a game that I can just play without internet etc.
I usually try and at least look on other sites first, Amazon’s prices aren’t necessarily the best (in fact it’s usually guaranteed that they aren’t) and it’s hard to know what you’re getting. For somethings though it’s fine like phone cases etc; stuff you would kind of expect to be garbage anyways and it’s often hard to find the exact things in a local store.
There’s just enough ok shows on Prime to watch as well, it’s like they know exactly what they can get away with.
(Now their stack tv in Canada is basically useless garbage, page after page of episodes that “aren’t available right now”…so why show them then)
Just got an Xbox 360 (not a PS3, but same generation) and a pile of games and it is totally worth it IMO. I mean the graphics are a bit rough obviously, but there are still great games to play. I also have an Xbox (Series S), and the 360 (and PS3 would be similar) because you get to play games before everything became about MTX and Battlepasses etc (though there was some of that especially towards the end). You can also play them offline generally speaking.
It’s a way to communicate what you expect from a game not some conspiracy to brand all Japanese RPGs lol. Like saying a game is a soulslike or roguelike. I mean Elden Ring is sort of an RPG and never heard anyone call it a JRPG. For JRPG I expect, anime art style, party system, turn based combat, probably a lot of drama lol.
Well the older I get the more i slowly devolve into the same old games, Minecraft, Vintage Story, and Slay the Spire. Maybe some other games every so often, like last year was lots of Elden Ring. Hopefully this year will be Starfield but we’ll see how that goes.
I also find i have less and less patience to start a new “AAA” game where you like have to do like 1-2 hours (or so it seems) tutorial and cut scenes before really playing.
PC and I have an Xbox Series S mostly for family playing. I had considered a PS5 but not much compelling on there, and I just know that actually i’m just going to end up playing my PC favorites anyways.
Interestingly though I recent got a 360 again - I think that era was peak console gaming, enough tech for decent graphics and gameplay, but before mtx and season passes kind of ruined everything AAA. (PS2 era was pretty good also, but doing some emulation play of older games…it’s really mostly nostalgia carrying them and gameplay, not just graphics, were being held back by technology)
VIntage Story one of the coziest games around.
