I have 5 300 VA units, 2x cheap brand, 2x CyberPower, 1x Eaton.
I think 2 of them don’t have a transformer.
Does it matter? All have a 9 Ah 12 V battery.
It will last few to 20 minutes maybe.
No issues so far (battery capacity loss excluded).
Recently, as someone recommends, all batteries are outside of UPS enclosure,
lower temperature. Which could affect battery lifetime.
More power, more money 👀
If you surprised why it has a PowerPC CPU. It’s actually a SoC.
From the manual:
AMCC PowerPC 405 32-bit RISC processor core operating up to 333MHz with 16KB D-and I-caches.
Designed specifically to address embedded applications, the PowerPC 405EP (PPC405EP), provides a high-performance, low-power solution that interfaces to a wide range of peripherals by incorporating on-chip power management features and lower power dissipation requirements.
I think imapsync will fulfill your needs.
Images should be stored in a distributed storage like the IPFS.
Alpine. But you are very low on the RAM. I will buy more RAM if I can (DDR2(?)).
TLP can also control CPU clock.
I’m using these settings on my trusty X260:
CPU_SCALING_GOVERNOR_ON_AC=performance
CPU_SCALING_GOVERNOR_ON_BAT=powersave
CPU_MIN_PERF_ON_AC=0
CPU_MAX_PERF_ON_AC=100
CPU_MIN_PERF_ON_BAT=0
CPU_MAX_PERF_ON_BAT=30
CPU_BOOST_ON_AC=1
CPU_BOOST_ON_BAT=0
CPU_HWP_DYN_BOOST_ON_AC=1
CPU_HWP_DYN_BOOST_ON_BAT=0
SCHED_POWERSAVE_ON_AC=0
SCHED_POWERSAVE_ON_BAT=1
USB_EXCLUDE_WWAN=1
There is an information in the /etc/tlp.conf
file:
# Select platform profile:
# performance, balanced, low-power.
# Controls system operating characteristics around power/performance levels,
# thermal and fan speed. Values are given in order of increasing power saving.
# Note: check the output of tlp-stat -p to determine availability on your
# hardware and additional profiles such as: balanced-performance, quiet, cool.
# Default:
# !!!!!!!! Warning !!!!!!!!!
# When use power-profiles-daemon, please use below items in
# /var/lib/power-profiles-daemon/state.ini
# 1) "balanced" is default mode
# 2) "power-saver" mode means "low-power" in ppd
# 3) "performance" mode
# !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#PLATFORM_PROFILE_ON_AC=performance
#PLATFORM_PROFILE_ON_BAT=low-power
So, it depends if your distro uses power-profiles-daemon
or if your desktop environment controls power profiles.
Ohh, I didn’t know that.
But:
The key pair can be found in crypt-vol-1. Please don’t forget to backup this and other volumes.[1]
Yeah, first create domains and mailboxes.
Then you can find user’s Maildirs here for example:
/var/lib/docker/volumes/mailcowdockerized_vmail-vol-1/_data/DOMAIN/USERNAME/Maildir
If you done with the restore, remember to execute:
docker exec mailcowdockerized_dovecot-mailcow_1 chown -R vmail:vmail /var/vmail
docker exec mailcowdockerized_dovecot-mailcow_1 /usr/bin/doveadm quota recalc -A
No way it will cost $ 69.
See for example PiKVM prices.
