It wouldn’t be pulling up the ladder behind them if we force them to step down that ladder and burn it by retraining their models from scratch “with databases that don’t infringe on intellectual property rights”.

It does definitely depend on good management, especially now with “community features” that you really need a good admin team to make best use of.

I like being able to filter for messages associated with particular users, messages with particular attachments or embeds, and messages before/after specific dates. I like that and you can’t get that as easily anywhere else that I can think of off the top of my head (not Google, anyway).

I’m pleasantly surprised at how well this works on mobile. Where did you find this?

That sucks. Tech support can be so annoying sometimes. I’m dealing with it too, although in a very different area. I wish they made it at least easy to give them money.

Good luck with Jellyfin and the other things you’ll be doing.

I see both sides. Thank you for your service; I for one find it helpful.

(I can see your take. I’m not making fun of you, but) I can imagine this being a reason why Twitter got rid of titles for articles in tweets.

I used to work with the networks of a university, sometimes dealing with DMCA notices. I’m honestly surprised I didn’t ever see anything super weird; it was only ever popular movies and TV shows.

What I’m trying to say is, I’m surprised the creators of the furry porn cared enough about their intellectual property to send out DMCA notices.

That makes it sound like an outdated LLM, like GPT-2 or something. You think it is?

Obsidian and Syncthing should work together in theory, though I haven’t tried them.

I was gonna say! Can’t forget about NFTs Georg!

Ohh, got it. Yeah, I don’t know of a way to get rid of that. I’d guess Revanced, but I haven’t used it myself.

Seconding the DNS suggestion. Specifically I set my DNS to dns.adguard-dns.com and that does the trick for mobile games and such.

For what it’s worth, the “pro” and “max” labels merely indicate whether something is different from normal. The iPhone 15 is the baseline; iPhone 15 Pro has somewhat better specs; and iPhone 15 Pro Max has both better specs and more screen real estate.

What else should they be?? They reflect human language.

This annoyed me too. I use Firefox Nightly with accessibility.blockautorefresh set in about:config, and it helps.

The alternative is being extremely careful about what data you allow the LLM to learn from. Then it would have your bias, but hopefully that’ll be a less flagrantly racist bias.

I mean, hate speech aimed at left-wing people is more diverse generally than hate speech aimed at right-wing people because the left simply is more diverse in gender, orientation, ethnicity, religion, etc. Isn’t that universally accepted?

(Please correct me if I’m wrong, I approach in good faith!)

Foxit can also OCR it and allow editing I believe.

Sounds fun. I do wonder what math they’ll go into. As a queer person who nebulously loves math, I can see how normal conversations could be hijacked and turned into a math discussion.

Maybe that’s what this will be: a program designed to pull queer teenagers together into a safe space where they can explore different areas of math guided by math pedagogy professionals. This might mean not always going the algebra-geometry-calculus direction, but rather maybe some fun probability stuff, graph theory, the traveling salesperson problem, the Towers of Hanoi, things in discrete math that could be fun to talk about.

I already know the trans agenda is to let trans soldiers fight, but what’s the math agenda? I want in.

It’s not a good idea to put any sort of identity on your car since people don’t generally think nice things about the drivers they see on the road with them. One of my friends refuses to put a Jesus fish bumper sticker in case she cuts someone off or something and they get mad at God.
