I thought that was normal? The thumbnail shown is just a link to the website unless you directly upload the photo
I’ve not had that issue, but I’m on Jerboa app.
I’m on Jerboa too and tapping the article’s picture opens the website instead of expanding the thumbnail. Not ideal UX.
