The once-growing movement appears to be laying low following the arrests of two of their leaders.

They don’t seem to have the same problem when it comes to left leaning organisations like climate protesters.

So, why the kid gloves with right wingers?

Right-wingers are more likely to beat you up. Changes the calculus for photographers.

Then get them charged with assault.

Small comfort to the reporter who got beaten up or SWATted or stalked, or the news organization that gets vandalized or DDoSed. If you’re more likely to visit violence on your critics, people are less likely to criticize you. It’s not fair, it’s not right, but it’s true.

Yeah, and we show that these methods work by allowing them to.

“Oh hey Jimmy, I haven’t seen you since last fight night”

To add to that: left wing protestors on average tend to face more violence.

But from whom? We may never know.

Sounds like they should be bringing some kind of self defense tool to their protests.

Then there’s pretext, and the leftists get painted as thugs - appropriate targets for more aggressive crackdowns.

It’s a lose-lose, but protesters will almost never benefit by responding to police brutality with an armed response. Counter-protests are generally a lesser problem.

The boot will get tired of getting blood on it eventually.

Really? When has that ever happened? You are more likely to see the trodden eat the leg.
