Tech companies are famous for coddling their workers but after mass layoffs the industry's culture has shifted. Engineers say that getting hired can require days of work on unpaid assignments.

Where are you looking?

LinkedIn and Indeed mostly. I also use Dice, ZIPrecruiter, and Glassdoor sparingly.

As in country / region? EU? USA? Australia?

US. Looking for a remote position mostly, though, so it shouldn’t matter too much.

Damn, out of a job since last year is rough (unless the benefits are rolling in 🫰 ). Things are different in the EU, so if you don’t mind moving or possibly working remotely with a large time difference, you can give that a shot.
