Once again I go back to the Exiled Lands (Savage Wilds this time, actually), and once again I can’t help editing “…/Conan Exiles/ConanSandbox/Config/DefaultGame.ini” to strip away the opening credits that I can’t really skip otherwise or automatically. Not everyone is bothered by it and the wait time is the same, but I’m happier this way.

Do you have some quirk like that in your gaming life? Something that takes at least a bit of effort or research to make your setup just nice? Give me all your most silly and trivial examples. All praise mods that automate doors.

I hate using AWSD as direction keys. I don’t understand why some games refuse to map the arrow keys to the same commands, but some don’t and it becomes up to me to manually set that right before playing anything.

It irritates me so much to me that if a game doesn’t let me change the key mappings, I’m probably going for a refund rather than play at all.

The best games in this regard are the ones that let you rebind everything and also have an alternate set of keymappings.

Oof, yeah I’m pretty picky about some keybinds and games that lock down keys can be almost unplayable.

Helldivers 2 doesn’t let you remap interact to F (which is the only muscle memory interact key I can use) and I haaaaate that so much. I had to get a workaround just to fix it.

I agree! And I’m thankful that lots of games build that in.
