So they most likely won’t, as their formula clearly works (other than the Wii U, it was a flop).
I put so many hours into this game. I got gold on all the cups, even mirror, except for one. I could never beat the special cup bc of Wario’s Gold Mine. And it’s in Mario Kart 8 too, still haunting me.

Wii was awesome

It’s a great map, though :( but it’s definitely better on bikes than carts.
