The Journal editorial page accused ProPublica of misleading readers in a story that hadn’t yet been published.

ProPublica strikes back.

Fox news called them out??

Jesus. That’s rough.

I tend to be pretty even-handed when it comes to news outlets whose editorial slant I disagree with. Wall Street Journal has done good work.

But this pre-buttal by Alito on its pages is a really bad look and diminishes the rest of their publication in my eyes.

It’s possible that Alito has won the argument with the audience he cares the most about. But it seems equally plausible that he drew even more attention to the very story he was trying to knock down.

Streisand effect fully in place here. I personally would not have noticed this if it wasn’t for his behavior.

This isn’t directly unethical of the WSJ board, but wow is it a bad look

This reporting is so refreshing, I hope the reporters are rewarded for the effort and Alito carries this stain, along with the rest of the festering collection at SCOTUS.

We have a captured, illegitimate top court. Each day the US proceeds with this charade only extends this dark era that history will look back on with disgust.
