noscript is essential security-wise IMO
Obsoleted by uBlock Origin. Hard mode if you must.
uBlock Origin does not block javascript execution depending on the domain. They do not serve the same purpose.
I don’t know if that’s what you meant, but you can block JavaScript per-site, block first or third-party scripts separately, etc
I stand corrected, that does look close to noscript’s feature, thanks !
Though I don’t know if it has a “whitelist mode” (all JS disabled by default everywhere but content still fetched) like the default noscript has.
Find the wiki page for “hard mode.”
Thank you !
I use umatrix on top of ublock. It does give more insight in what you want to allow
uMatrix is abandoned by the developer

Adnauseum - same as unlock but also clicks on every ad (or any % of ads) to give useless data
May as well fight back
depends on the user still
Adnauseum clicks are easily detected and filtered out. Google stopped this nonsense a long time ago. As others have said, it also makes it dead simple to track you.
You are easier to track with Adnauseum
If anything adding those extensions would just make you easier to fingerprint, right?
Depends, but yes in most cases. Also just adds attack surface and consumes extra resources, so its generally a good practice to keep extensions to a minimum and only use what you need.

if i block ads does ad nauseum even do anything?
While an interesting idea, there is no evidence that supports that Ad Nauseum adversely impacts reporting metrics. This is due to ad servers all determining click by different methods. It rarely ever aligns. It likely doesn’t impact user targeting either as your behavior still hasn’t really changed and clicks aren’t typically used for that purpose.
You’re better off just running UBlock Origin. Punishing advertisers doesn’t really make any sense anyway. The blame is really on publisher groups and their rampant greed. Auto-clicks just further that.

I’ll add two I didn’t see listed:
Enhancer for YouTube. Video quality auto-select, fined-grained speed control, volume boost, shorts redirect, and a bunch of other features.
deleted by creator
Not sure about every feature, but the features I use still worked as of a couple hours ago. Should I be worried that it will break soon?
Definitely disable the ad blocker on “Enhancer for YouTube”. Only uBlock Origin is capable of handling the ads consistently. Had issues with them until i disabled it
VimFx, CanvasBlocker, CleanURLs, DarkReader, Flagfox, NoScript, uBO, Stylus, TWP.
TREE STYLE TAB
Ditched it for sidebery. So much less laggy now.
Yeah with custom css, sideberry is awesome.

You can download custom css files, place them in your profile folder and change a setting in about:config.
There are guides on youtube and r/firefoxcss
Every Sidebery comment/post over the whole internet:
Awesome with custom CSS.
Fails to post any source for that awesome css.
You dont ‘need’ custom CSS. It already adjusts to your firefox theme, so it actually looks as if it was native. Its such an awesome extension!

Took me one ddg search and fetched to top result.
Atleast put more effort in trolling.
Well I never touched sidebery css. Just using the default visual settings while the browser is in night mode. Looks good enough to me.
I find “I don’t care about cookies” pretty useful. It works with almost every cookie consent popup I’ve encountered. It automatically selects all the available settings in the popup which give the less consent to the website. So basically a automatic do not consent button presser.
NoScript. It can be a little more demanding of you as a user, (I often find myself enabling single scripts at a time until a web page will function properly) but the sense of security, privacy, and being left the hell alone is worth it.

LibRedirect - A web extension that redirects YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, and other websites to alternative privacy friendly frontends YouTube → Invidious , Piped , Piped-Material , CloudTube , PokeTube , FreeTube , Yattee YouTube Music → Beatbump , Hyperpipe Twitter → Nitter TikTok → ProxiTok Reddit → Libreddit , Teddit Imgur → Rimgo Pixiv → PixivFE
After ublock origin, this is my favorite extension. Redirecting youtube to freetube is the greatest thing ever

You can import your subscriptions using the Google takeout feature. Tutorial on freetube’s website.

No ads, no tracking, no proprietary software. Built-in SponsorBlock and DeArrow as well as a download feature.
It’s free, open source, you can download videos, and it doesn’t track you or try to intentionally make the viewing experience worse.

Freetube is a desktop program. I use it and it’s so much better than going to the YouTube page.
Other than a couple of neat features, basically it allows you to have the youtube account features, without having an account.
Locally you tell him what channels you care for, and it fetches your homepage for you, without all the strings attached to google doing that within your account and, hence, knowing exactly what kind of person you are.

The main reason one would consider freetube or other similar alternative is for privacy. If that doesn’t matter to you then just stick to the website.
Are you, like, manually writing down on paper the 0s and 1s of the software you use? Personally it takes me 20 seconds top to “download a whole program”.

Actually, you can use any SearXNG instance as your search engine, most of which already redirect their results to privacy focused frontends. Like searx.tiekoetter.com.
Ublock origin
Privacybadger
Cookiebro
Anti-adblock killer userscript
Sponsorblock
Arent privaxy badger cookiebro and anti Adblock killer pointless if you use ublock origin with the cookie and anti adblock lists enabled?
Finally someone that mentions an
Enable Right Click
extension. There’s a few out there but I use “Absolute Enable Right Click & Copy” as well.On top of return youtube dislike & sponsorblock I will highly recommend BlockTube, it optionally removes shorts, the video pause and & popup asking if you’re still there, and a few other things. I’ve tried the “remove youtube loudness normalization” option but volume is just all over the place no matter what.
Of course these are specific to youtube and not essential for anyone who uses an alternative
You can disable right click hijacking with dom.event.contextmenu.enabled in about:config, I don’t think you need an extension for that
You don’t even need to do that, all you have to do is hold shift when you right click, and it circumvents any hijacking.
Enable right click, that sounds like something I need, it’s a bit stupid how often I want to right click something and I can’t
Bypass Paywalls Clean got pulled from the Firefox repository but you can still sideload it from github.
Wtf is this?
Looks like an AI-driven captcha solver for 4chan. The reviews mention something about not having to buy a pass so I guess 4chan charges to get around the captchas. Lol.
Yup, they’re also pretty annoying captchas.
I thought it might solve captchas on all websites.
There’s no cleaning that shit up.
Dark Reader. Not invulnerable to sudden blinding at night, I’d say one site in 200 seems to sneak through. But imo it beats all other dark mode addons I tried and certainly the default dark mode.
