How many peach trees could you plant on 51km2

You mean things like Bigfoot?

You need to be able to do layout design to do good ux. The visual presentation is a critical aspect of usability. Also backend code needs to be consumable future readers (including the author). That’s something that is very often lost and you get terrible unorganized backed code.

I’m more of an end of support male.

In civil engineering public works are certified by an engineer; its literally them saying if this fails i am at fault. The public is trusting the engineer to say its safe.

Engineering is about trust. In all other and generally more formalized engineering disciplines, the actual job of an engineer is to provide confidence that something works. Software engineering may employ fewer people because the tools are better and make people much more productive, but until everyone else trusts the computer more, the job will exist.

If the world trusts AI over engineers then the fact that you don’t have a job will be moot.

Sleep paralysis sucks a lot. It’s terrifying. It would happen to me as a teen; I would be stuck in the morning. It has stopped but it’s really unpleasant.

That’s complete nonsense. People make art for free constantly everywhere.

Please change your name branch to match the ticket number.

Its not a problem if its removed by improved ai; it would be a transient fear that never manifests.

Its either that or extreme fragmentation and or de- informationalization

There seems to be no argument about what is conscious that doesn’t have a substantial human-centric bias. So many of the criticisms of chat gpt are present in people who cant list hordes of facts they once read or make up stuff whole cloth. The other large class of critique is based on knowing how it works, which is fundamentally not an aspect you can use to make judgments about emergent behavior.

A closed blockchain doesn’t need or use expensive hashing nor is expensive hashing required for a public blockchain.

Every rant about how blockchains are bad SQL databases is ignorant of the actual, novel uses of a decentralized blockchain and whatever system it uses as proof to find the current block’s validator.

Blockchains allow for the synchronization of many actors up to the agreement of the majority of actors. They eliminate a class of corruption. Which is at least those where the authority over a log of data uses that authority to alter the log outside the will of the majority of those who use said log.

You can make all the arguments you want about the usefulness of that ability, you can make arguments that the cost of adding that ability being too high vs the reward.

You vague argued that its complicated and it wont end banks so its pointless. Neither of which is much of an argument. Also, the blockchain replaces central banks, not member banks.

Is that worth doing? Likely not at the current state of the technology.

Blockchain gives a protocol that allows new data sources to join and leave without any coordination while also ensuring data consistency in the data added up to the will of the majority of validators. If, for example, the validators are people, the data sources are doctors and hospitals, and the data is medical history. You can have all your medical history collected together and only accessible to you.

I think you are saying the same thing, but it’s less that history can’t be changed and more than all changes are collectively acknowledged. The Brazilian vaccine record shows why that can be a highly desirable attribute; it prevents a class of corruption while also automating the tasks that could have been corrupted.

In a blockchain, the government is the majority of nodes. That’s who can revert fraudulent transactions. Ethereum already did this once.

Greg wants to get paid, remove the threat of poverty from the loss of control and its a nonissue.

The trend shows identification to either label is falling. Really reads as a way to spin what is likely a move even more left by many high schoolers as a move right by pretending no other axis exist than conservative/liberal. Only 35% said either label. The overwhelming majority didnt pick a label.

Companies have only one goal, more profit. Both actions here work to that goal.

So basically, people don’t understand chemistry and that boric acid and borax are different. Boric Acid has legitimate medical uses and is possibly less toxic than table salt.

It’s not about formality. It is about the introduction of error. Less strict communication is more likely to have such errors introduced.

Yes, but there is a real risk here that either the expansion added false details or the summary is wrong, especially the summary.

Its 100% already happening.

C is back at HQ with 2 Stars and enough political capital to serve till they die.

Then the machines could pass the test.

Some think it’s ok for them to steal but not for them to be stolen from.

Edit: dont shoot the messenger
