I have a direct quote from the farmer’s horse and it’s ‘Neigh’

If there is a hot new game that I am interested in, Game Pass might be appealing because it allows me play a new game for cheaper. But I also don’t play games very quickly, because I’m busy.

Steam allows us to avoid FOMO. I’ll wishlist it, meanwhile I’ll play my massive backlog. By the time I complete one single player game, the wishlisted game is already on sale and the game has matured with updates. It’s perfect for the adult gamer.

In times like this, I usually recite my favourite haiku to calm myself down.

Bungie being a bitch as usual

Steam Deck and Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is not supported for play on the Steam Deck or on any system utilizing Steam Play’s Proton unless Windows is installed and running. Players who attempt to launch Destiny 2 on the Steam Deck through SteamOS or Proton will be unable to enter the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time. Players who are not accessing Destiny 2 through Windows and attempt to bypass the SteamOS/Proton incompatibility will be met with a game ban.

How to get good at FPS with a controller, coming from a PC gamer?
I have been a PC gamer for the majority of my life. But before that, i was a console player on the NES. But NES mainly had platformers, and no 3d games. So i am not used to movement and camera controls simultaneously at all. I have purchased a Steam Deck OLED and it's phenomenal at playing platformers and twin stick top down games. However, i am absolutely sucking at FPS games on it. Can't make shots on the controller which are like muscle memory on my PC. I'm also having a slightly hard time on 3rd person over the shoulder games (not as bad as FPS though). It's probably because of my age (30+) I guess. My question is that is there a way to improve other than 'git gud'? Example, is there an easy FPS game where I don't have to move or shoot too fast? Or a sample controller exercise game, like we have AimLabs for mouse movement. Thanks.

All artwork will be deligated to AI. Photoshop discontinued. New “CS Suite With AI Agents” released. Works only with voice prompt and eye gaze.

Adobe and Microsoft Office will continue to fleece their customers. The customers will cry but they won’t do a single thing. Expect this to continue for the next 20 years.

Don’t you think it’s wild that a hard drive, which is just chilling inside its case, suddenly has its innards spilled out using a screwdriver, and dumped into a 24/7 NAS with other hard disks.

A bit inhumane if you ask me.

Halo MCC with a buddy of mine. It’s a blast. Halo 2 right now and will slowly move up till Halo 4.

Managed to fix the CO-OP issue faced by linux users and now working fine.

When tipping the server goes wrong

Yes, Render Media is the best. It’s hard to believe that not many people know about this tool. It’s also natively installed in all Linux distros.

Modern sites: This page requires a JsPU to run which is not present on this system. The website will run in reduced feature mode.

Most advanced Linux developer’s naming skill on full display

  • The browser
  • Electron apps
  • Prefetching
  • AI shit/telemetry

Other than a browser, I had none of these on my Linux machine and I could comfortably run on 4GB of RAM

We just put the auditor under the floorboards whenever a new one arrives. Saves a lot of hassle. We have around 6 auditors stored this way.

This is the same coping mechanism as “just build another 4 lane highway. That should solve the traffic issues”. You are just shifting the problem.

You mean instead of downloading the app, we could just browse through them? That’s a revolutionary concept. We could call them hyper-apps!

You can run a LLM at home on your own PC. You tell it what you want and it goes to search the net for you.

Unless it’s open-source and connected to a proper crownsourced dataset, hosted on a paid server managed by a community instead of a big corporation, I don’t see how ads are NOT getting in.

how do we ensure the instance this community is on doesn’t get shut down?

Make sure the instance is located in countries which are anti-censorship?

it’s brought in and hosts the worst parts of reddit

Any instance that becomes too large will have this issue. It’s not world’s fault.
