THE Liberal Party has surpassed the 30-point threshold for the first time since September 2022 and now sits at 32 per cent, according to EKOS Politics. Indeed, the party is now tied with its vote share in the 2021 election.

Meanwhile, at 39 per cent, the Conservative lead has narrowed to just seven points, a significant shift from the 25-point advantage the party enjoyed in the wake of former finance minister Chrystia Freeland’s resignation a month ago. While the Conservatives would no doubt win the most seats if an election were held tomorrow, it is unlikely they would form a majority government given the renewed Liberal support in Ontario.

According to EKOS Politics, the Liberal resurgence seems to be driven by three factors. First, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s resignation produced a modest but noticeable boost to the party’s standing. Second, the extensive media coverage of the Liberal leadership race accelerated this rise. Finally, the cavalcade of radical announcements from the freshly inaugurated Donald Trump has spurred a renewed sense of national identity, prompting Canadians to rally around their incumbent leaders in a show of solidarity.

That doesn’t explain why 80% of Canadians want a federal election immediately, now, today, and want a change of government in Ottawa, with Conservatives. Read through independent and original sources.

I read independent Canadian news and have not heard anything even close to this. Care to share your sources?

Ipsos poll shows 77% of Canadian want a federal election immediately.

Anecdotal, but I know no one who wants an election.
Where are these 80% idiots?

Hiding, and spouting shit on the internet.

If the conservatives winning is a foregone conclusion, I’d rather have them in power now where they can mount a credible response to trump than in the summer.

But if these polls are to be believed, maybe it’s not so foregone after all. Three more months of trump opening his mouth might actually be enough to sour people on Pierre

You think the Conservatives have any interest in mounting a credible response to Trump? Milhouse is way more Danielle Smith than he is Doug Ford. He’s just itching lick Trump’s boots.

I don’t know, maybe, maybe not. But in my hypothetical, at least trump would be dealing with someone who has a mandate, rather than someone who has one foot out the door. It’s a terrible bargaining position to be in.

But like I said, that’s moot if the winds are shifting. I put a gigantic IF in front of my statement for a reason.

I and most Canadians I know want either a more left leaning liberal or NDP government.

Talk with people who don’t accept what you believe and ask them why they disagree with what you say to see how you are in the minority opinion.

Here’s the thing, I don’t care for those people or their fucking opinion. I’m not looking to be civil with them, they can fuck right off. Don’t put the onus on us “libs” to always have to take the high ground, fuck that.

You can never speak in reference to Canadians as a collective whole for views and opinions if you despise all people who disagree with your statements.

Right back at you.
