An actual fistfight on the House floor would be a pretty sad state of affairs, and not at all something to be celebrated, yet part of me is kind of hoping to see it.
There’s ample historical precedent. I say let them fight.
Agreed, but what’s worse is the two Republican house members who went on the record in the article saying that they want to see it too.
we’ve already come pretty close to that in the Republican caucus once (back when McCarthy was still in hell and trying to become majority leader), so i’m not surprised to see the prospect continue to linger. there are clearly a ton of Republicans who just hate a lot of the people in their party.
It’s happened before. I think someone got can caned over the push for freeing slaves in the 1800s before the civil war.
Yeah, but that was opposing sides. This would be two members of the deplorable party, so I’m down for it.
These are fascists looking to destroy America. If they turn on each other, their chances of success are greatly diminished.
