Depends on your definition of gen z, and the oldest of gen alpha has barely started getting into highschool. As a zoomer though we are on our way out.

I just listen to playlists that people make or youtube videos of song genres or artists that I like.

Ctrl-C halts whatever is running in your terminal though. To be fair, I’ve always just used Ctrl-Shift-C because thats closer to my hand.

My shell seems to autocomplete filenames that have spaces with "\ " already.

I’m pretty sure MKDEV, who is one person, quit cracking earlier this year.

Use soulseek instead. Nicotine+ is a pretty good soulseek client.

There’s syntax highlighting by default in vim though.

If vpns are blocked on the network you are on, tor usually has a way to work.

Denuvo these days is ridiculously hard to crack, the only people good enough usually would rather get a job at Denuvo because its so hard you have to be insane to do it for free. There was also some guy doing denuvo cracks for only football manager games but they retired like 3 months ago.

I’ve never seen that before, but I have discord rich presence turned off.

I feel its the reverse, most people I know on discord mute most of the discord servers they are in. I put most of the discord servers I’m in into folders so that its easier to find the people I actually talk to and ignore all of the ones I joined for asking questions or downloading files.

I don’t think they would block your account, I think they would just block all youtube downloading methods at some point. I use mpv with yt-dlp to watch youtube and it sometimes breaks. I don’t think a vpn would help in any way.

You don’t actually get banned, they just don’t let you watch youtube videos until you turn off your adblocker. You can even sign out and never see the ad block blocks because its tied to your account only.

Most rhythm games are better on keyboard except for project diva which is way better on controller. I think osu! is the least controller friendly rhythm game and osu!mania style rhythm games are probably impossible on controller if it needs more than 6 keys (unless the charts are designed for controller and don’t require hitting every button at once).

Project diva feels really bad to play on keyboard for some reason. I think its because its only recently been playable on pc and I’m used to controller. It just feels better on thumbs.

Obsidian looks interesting, but I’m already using emacs and I’m pretty sure every feature in obsidian can be done in emacs.

Honestly emacs is pretty decent for almost every text related task and many non text related tasks as well.

Varjo headsets. Apple actually used Varjo’s headsets to test out the software for the Vision Pro while developing it. There isn’t any software specifically for the Varjo headsets since its just business focused.

Apple’s headset is much cheaper than Varjo’s, somehow, despite having similar tech.

They can sell you a 100 dollar elite strap if the strap has nothing and is removable.

lol I got trolled by that once. Luckily they just did rm -rf / instead of hacking me.

Thats true, but you can still use it as a currency if you want to buy illegal drugs, or donations to organizations that accept it (with monero so its untraceable) and buying mullvad vpn. It’s not stable, but its an accepted way of transferring money that can be as private as cash.

Cryptocurrency has its uses as unregulated currency, though that makes it easy to scam people with it.

Its not open source, its source available because you can’t distribute modifications to unreal.

I think he’s calling the website that is running non-free javascript as an additional piece of software based on his commment on “bulky obfuscated JavaScript apps.”

Yeah I know it was outdated, but people were saying it was gonna be 7 years till the next headset, and the Index is the best headset for getting into basestations these days still. Pimax has really bad headsets in most aspects besides fov, and HTC hasn’t released a good headset in years.

According to rumors the deckard should be compatible with basestations, so I should be able to get the headset standalone.

In my opinion the Index resolution is as good as the quest 2 though so it wasn’t that bad in comparison to other headsets when I got it.

It’s pretty likely that its the Deckard, because we know they’ve been working on that for years, even before the Steam Deck was announced. I don’t think that Valve has been working on any other hardware lately. It’ll be pretty hype if it actually is, though I kinda bought my Index last year so I’m not hyped about it being obselete.

No, for me its the opposite, when I buy a game I’m more likely to actually play it because I want to get my money’s worth of enjoyment, while with a pirated game, there isn’t a need to play the game, even if I do have fun with it.

Acceleration of Suguri 2 has a tutorial that is just 9 pages talking about the games systems telling you about how specific buttons are for what attacks and which button combinations and other stuff, but it never tells you what those buttons actually are, it just says they are the attack A, attack B, dash button, hyper button, super button. It took me an hour of playing the game to figure out what all of the buttons were.

I don’t have any of the competitors, but the screen quality seems fine to me. If you hold it at a reasonable distance you can’t really see the pixels. Compared to my switch it is definitely heavier and bigger, so its not very comfortable to hold up because of its weight, so I just rest it on my lap or a table when using it. A small annoyance with the screen is that the resolution isn’t a standard ratio so a lot of games have black bars on the top and bottom.

The steam deck has better performance when you set it to low power consumption, but the competitors have better performance when set at higher power consumption. If you play a lot mouse based games, the trackpads are very nice. Emulation works great on the steam deck and it is possible to play epic games (I don’t use epic so idk how good it is).

Webnovel sites in Korea and China sell books one chapter at a time, and some of their publishers are trying to break into the Western market with the same structure (ie Wattpad bought by naver, Webnovel.com owned by Qidian). They also like using virtual currency for buying chapters. Korean and Chinese web comics are also sold this way. Publishers really like the microtransaction money no matter the industry. If they could figure out how to sell microtransactions for movies I bet they would do it.

Side note: I downloaded this chinese app for downloading region locked games on mobile and they somehow figured out how to put gacha in it. Publishers seem to do anything for money no matter how little sense it makes.

Nah, I have an index and was not able to get steam vr running. Its problems everywhere in VR on linux I guess.

You can, 10 finger tying / touch typing at least. Someone can’t really figure that out for themselves without spending tons of time thinking on an efficient way to type.
