Outright revolt will not work right now. There needs to be a much greater groundswell of support for that first. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
It’s going to be a loooong time before a proper revolution happens, even if that’s not out of the question. In the meantime, as many people as possible should !resist@fedia.io, in as many small ways as possible.
There’s plenty of preparing and learning that can be done in the meantime. I always recommend pepper spray for everyone. Always have your camera at the ready. Build relationships with like-minded people near and far. Get in a mindset of paying close attention to the world around you, seeking creative opportunities, and figuring out your own risk threshold.
A lot of people are scared right now, for good reason. Seek to support the vulnerable, and to give pause to those who threaten them.
the blackout kinda worked until reddit threatened still closed communities
Thoughts and prayers with no actual advice or directions. The marathon is over, and we lost. But yeah, but pepper spray, because that works against guns.
Not revolting before you are sure you have the proper support to succeed IS the actual advice. They are just waiting for something like this to happen as a pretense to suspend existing law and take total control. So you have exactly one chance. Use it wisely.
Zero chance. All the left leaders are gone. Americans are too self-centered. Half of the country wants this anyway.
Only a quarter of the country actively voted for this.
And among those, I’d bet only a small portion actually understood what they were voting for. There are a lot of unthinking voters who only vote R because that’s what their entire family has always done.
That said, I still put a lot of blame on the apathetic idiots who couldn’t be bothered to get off their ass to vote at all.
.
The worse thi gs get and the more people start directly feeling the impacts, the more support you will se for taking action
I don’t disagree, but “action” needs to be funneled into a single action. The United States has this problem, that was engineered, of “guns and trucks” people would rather die than be in the same room with “libs and queers.”
We need fundamental change in thinking—which I doubt is possible.
Go look at !Resist@fedia.io.
I did. I think you spelled it wrong.
Edit: never mind, it’s just empty for me on Voyager, browser has content
Looks like the Reddit post was already removed.
Of course, just like here.
Just about as many people will revolt as the number of people that moved to Canada when GWB was elected. Really easy to bitch on an internet forum, really hard to actually do something. The average American is so soft, they think a 1 day boycott of Starbucks is fighting the man. Even though the tree of liberty needs to be refreshed with blood periodically, our benevolent overlords have made the public so feeble and docile I don’t expect much.
Spez is about to get a visit from the
mobgovernment. And bend his knee faster than you can blink
Lol actually that’s a good point. He’ll do whatever for profit
Yup, and in his specific case not just for profit, but for a place at the “big boys table” along with who I can only assume are his idols, musk and zuc.
Why? He’s in on it.
you should’ve left reddit in june or july 2023 by now
Year 50? You think that shit started in 1975??
Seems a reasonable line in the sand to me.
So that threads getting locked, right?
/u/spez: “Thread? What thread? Everyone on reddit loves Trump.”
Shocked the butt polyp spez allows this and hasn’t rigged it
I kinda hate that it kinda got to this. I hope that things work out for the best, though. It makes me sad that people are suffering/will suffer because of crazy people
It’s a great question.
