How many were laid off? Did they hire another people maybe? I would be careful with premature conclusions based on this single event. It would be hilarious if those laid off people go to work on Overwatch…

I do believe Valve also counts as Indie. They are privately owned and self-publish.
I’d say indie should be a smaller company, not one of the industry pillars.
But it’s arguable, their style is different, to say the least.
