Over the past 5 years I bought just one stamp.
Make it $2 for my household that might mail something once a year and invest yourself in some infrastructure, Canada Post.
Seems most of the mail I get is various spam. I’ll pay an extra dollar for the things I want to mail if it means that the credit card companies are paying an extra dollar to send me their crap.
I swear ive got a phone book worth if fliers in the past month. Many trees died to bring me news of deals at Canadian Tire and Food Basics

That, and also “No junk mail, no soliciting” stickers are your friend.
I’m feeling pretty smug about that 10 pack of permanent stamps I bought over a decade ago. The last couple will be worth a few dollars by the time I get to them
I kind of thought they stopped honoring those?
The canada post workers told me that stamps last for forever.
I’ve never heard that and I’m pretty sure I used two in the last year, with no issues. I can’t find an article about it. Can you link one?
I could be wrong but I doubt they stopped honouring them. A) they were sold as permanent, B) although not widespread use of stamps are considered general currency.
old school note: Used to get them as change sometimes at the postoffice or small shops, and could use them toward purchases
The permanent ones are permanent, the ones with an amount written on them require that you add the amount missing by adding extra stamps.
